Care instructions

Proper handling and proper care of your new headgear is important,  so that you can enjoy it for a long time.

That is why we have all the important care instructions and tips for the materials used for you  for  she  compiled.

However, a careful look at the care instructions on the label never hurts!

  Wool

Woolen textiles should always be hand washed. You should make sure that the woolen textile is not wrung out too much so that the wool does not become matted.

Alpaca wool

We recommend that headgear made from alpaca wool should generally only be hand washed with lukewarm water. Hand washing should never cause excessive friction. In this way you avoid unsightly matting or similar changes in the fabric.

Merino wool

For products made from merino wool, hand washing with cold or at most lukewarm water is a key to success. Here too, as with the other products, too much friction on the wool should be avoided. Finally, you can pull the product into shape a little and still  Let the wet / damp condition air dry.

 

 

cashmere

In principle, our headgear, which is made of cashmere or contains cashmere wool, should not be washed too often.

Cashmere is odor-repellent, which means that ventilation usually works wonders. The fibers of the cashmere wool can stand up again in peace.

However, should be rougher  / there is deep dirt or body fat on it, the wash cycle is probably unavoidable.

The wool cycle or cold / gentle cycle should be selected here. Hand washing is rather not recommended, as unnecessary and excessive friction with cashmere could damage the material.  

 

Fur felt

The following care tips are helpful for our fur felt products:

Smaller, superficial dirt can be cleaned with a damp cloth or a hat brush.
If the dirt has penetrated deeper into the felt, we always recommend hand washing.
 

There is lukewarm water here too  the ideal means for this.

For more stubborn stains or soiling, the careful and well-dosed use of a heavy-duty detergent is recommended. It is important to finally rinse the textile with clear water.

 

 

Wool felt

Our products are made of wool felt  Not only rollable and crushable, but also very water-repellent. They are great for rainy or snowy days.

As a result, superficial dirt can easily be removed with a damp cloth or a hat brush.

For the decorative band in suede look or the fabric band on the outside, as well as the sweat band on the inside of the hat, processing with a damp cloth is also recommended.

 

 

linen

For the washing process, whether hand or machine wash, it is best to use heavy duty detergents or mild detergents. It is not advisable to use too high a washing temperature or spin speed.

The headgear should be pulled into shape a little and allowed to air dry when wet.

 

 

silk

As with cashmere, silk is a delicate fabric, so it's important not to wash the product too often.

When it comes to textiles made of silk, hand washing should in principle only be used.  

Soak your silk product in lukewarm water for a few minutes to soak. Here, too, you should be careful with the "washing".  Wet silk is very delicate, so you should make sure that you handle the dirt on the product slowly and carefully. After washing, let your product air dry outside.

 

Panama straw
